Billy K. is a singer-songwriter originally from San Francisco but now in Seattle, WA. You can say a "cover most of the bases" and in a general sense, "all-around pop-rock". However, unlike those piano guys on both sides of the Atlantic, there are some quirky lyrics, as well as ethnic influences, and other unusual things.
Band/artist history
Returned to seriously working on music, after a long absence, in 1998. Previously was a member of a band called Airborne, which later became Ursa Minor(no connection with the bands currently using these names). Also had done a variety of music-related stuff, from playing metal, to barbershop quartet singing, do DJing oldies music for weddings and parties.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Not playing live all that much at the present time. Once in a while doing some acoustic stuff at the spur of the moment, but that's about it.
Your musical influences
Brian Wilson, Stelios Kazantzides, New Order, Santana, Syd Barrett, Elton John, Eric Carmen
What equipment do you use?
Old Roland analog synth(SH-2000), Roland Drum Machine, Arturia 61, Alesis QX-8.....drums mostly done using ACID programming, and using various loop suppliers. On some of the earlier tracks, where a band was involved, using actual drummers.
As for guitars.....Squire Strat, homemade flying V, Hohner Acoustic, Mandolin, Lanakai Tenor Ukulele, D'Anglico 12-string, Hofner-style bass.
Also some improvements in the outboard equipment, as well. But still looking for more as things go along.
Anything else?
8/21/2025........getting close to a release for a physical EP. Tentatively called "EP-1". Includes the recent songs "Dash Cash", "Maybe You're not Into Me", "Hike in the Mountains", and "Writing Us an Anthems"......also including two songs from the past(but recently recorded), "Miss Popularity", and "Alone in San Ramon".
More details coming soon....sorry for being so slow at getting the updates.

Lovin' everything about this gem, as fun as it gets!
This is a happy beach party kind of tune. I'm tapping my feet to this. Woweee . . .it's a non stop party . . .Brilliant Pop record.
Love that guitar tone, pumping drums and Vox Continental organ sound. 2:45 . . . this is the perfect lenth for a hit 45. you've got one.
Yep, this is pretty cool. A contender for daytime radio air-play if there was any justice in the world of day-time radio, fab song.
2/2/11 Been slacking off on the updates, as of late, as in really badly. New songs are in the works.....these include "Fast Track to America", "Mai-Tai's", "Plans C, D, &E", "Traffic Jam", to name a few...... I also did a radical choice of cover tunes.....a slightly slower version of Petula Clark's "I Know a Place", but with a bit more rock edge to it.....
Cool retro tune man! Nice guitar and vocal work. Keep it up. :)
